Our Puget Sound Birds & Habitat


 

Bird photography is particularly challenging. Locating birds in the wild, then slowly and quietly approaching them, so they do not fly away, is part of the art. No photo is ever worth endangering a bird by exposing it or preventing it from being fed.

 

Using a Nikon D300 camera with an 80-400mm, f/5.6 lens, I photograph without a tripod.
